On 12 November 2020, TYT Ambassador Muzafar Shah Mustafa was invited to give an online talk on Malaysia entitled “Bilateral Relations Between Malaysia and Mexico” to the students of the University of Anahuac in Puebla, Mexico. The event was organized in collaboration between the Embassy of Malaysia in Mexico and the University of Anahuac in Puebla in conjunction with the university´s International Congress Day. TYT Ambassador was amongst the seven (7) speakers participated in various session ranging from socio-cultural issues and international relations topics. There were about 200 students participated in the virtual event.
During the event, TYT Ambassador briefed on the bilateral relations between Malaysia and Mexico, including the trade exchange between the two countries. TYT Ambassador also touched on the general info of Malaysia including education, tourism and the multicultural society in Malaysia as well as Malaysia´s diplomacy and challenges in the 21st century.
In summary, the virtual presentation was considered successful as it generated many interests and questions about Malaysia and its current bilateral relations between Malaysia and Mexico. The Embassy of Malaysia also discussed on the possible future cooperation with the university that would spread further awareness on Malaysia in Mexico.
