On Monday, 23 May 2011, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico City presented a copy of the Credential Letter to the Director General of Protocol, Ambassador Jorge Castro Valle. The presentation of the copy took place at the Protocol Saloon in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mexico. Also attending the ceremony was the Head of Chancery of the Embassy of Malaysia, Director General of Asia Pacific, Director General for Foreign Missions, Deputy Director of Ceremony and Director for Asia Pacific. During the meeting, the Director General of Protocol mentioned that Mexico looks forward in collaborating with Malaysia in many sectors and hope that Malaysia – Mexico bilateral relation will be further strengthened with the arrival of the new Ambassador. Ambassador Jamaiyah also informed that in order to comply with the 2011 mission and objectives, assistance and cooperation with the Mexican side is appreciated, especially in the finalization of the pending agreements. The discussion lasted for one hour. Also presenting the copy of credential letter were new Ambassador of Japan and new Ambassador of Vietnam.
