SEMINAR ON BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES WITH MALAYSIA

On 24^th May, ProMéxico organised a seminar on “Business Opportunities with Malaysia” held at ProMexico headquarters in Mexico City. As part of ProMexico’s ongoing initiatives in creating awareness to the Mexican business communities on International Trade, ProMexico organised a series of seminars with among others, Australia, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand and Philippines.   ProMéxico is the Federal Government Agency under the Secretary of Economy, Mexico responsible for coordinating strategies aimed at strengthening Mexico's participation in the international economy, supporting Mexican exporters and coordinating activities aimed at attracting foreign investments into Mexico.

H.E Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico was invited as the guest of honour for their seminar.  The Ambassador delivered a presentation on “Doing Business with Malaysia” to create awareness to Mexican Business communities on business opportunities with Malaysia. Apart from presenting the trade and investment between Malaysia and Mexico, the Ambassador also touched on the Malaysian SMEs as the engine of economic growth.  About 70 Mexican businessmen attended the event.  The seminar was also shown via live streaming on YouTube to more than 45 viewers.  The seminar illustrates the strong bilateral trade relationship between Malaysia and Mexico as well as the advantage of business opportunity offered for both countries. ProMexico together with the Embassy of Malaysia in Mexico and MATRADE Mexico City are working together to enhance the bilateral trade between both countries and exploring potential collaboration between Malaysian and Mexican companies.
