Strengthening Bilateral Ties with Brunei Darussalam

The Embassy of Malaysia in Mexico City is pleased to share that YBhg. Dato' Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, co-chaired the Special Malaysia–Brunei Darussalam Joint Land Boundary Committee Meeting alongside H.E. Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Minister of Foreign Affairs II of Brunei Darussalam, on 8 May 2025.
This important meeting served as a follow-up on the progress of the joint demarcation and survey of the land boundary between the two nations, in accordance with the Exchange of Notes (EoN) signed in 2024.
Discussions also focused on the outcomes of the Joint Technical Committee Meeting, which took place on 30 April and 1 May 2025 in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The continued collaboration reflects the enduring friendship and strong commitment of both Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam to resolve outstanding bilateral matters through dialogue, mutual respect, and cooperation
