Strengthening Regional Partnerships Ahead of the ASEAN-GCC-China Summit

The Embassy of Malaysia in Mexico City is pleased to share that Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Amran Mohamed Zin, recently held a key meeting with H.E. Sun Weidong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

The meeting focused on the ongoing preparations for the upcoming ASEAN – Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) – China Summit, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur later this month. Discussions emphasized the importance of enhancing multilateral cooperation, promoting regional peace and stability, and exploring new avenues for economic collaboration and sustainable development.

Malaysia remains committed to fostering inclusive dialogue and deepening partnerships among ASEAN, the GCC, and China to ensure a prosperous and interconnected future for all.
