The 9th Malaysia – European Union Senior Officials Meeting was hosted by Malaysia on 11 March 2025. Deputy Secretary General for Bilateral Affairs, Dato’ Ahmad Rozian Abd. Ghani, co-chaired the meeting with the Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific, European External Action Service (EEAS), H.E. Niclas Kvarnström.
During the meeting, both sides discussed Malaysia- European Union relations at length covering the economic, environment and education sectors. Both sides also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual concern especially on the situation in Middle East, Ukraine, ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 and ASEAN-EU Dialogue Relations.
