TRANS PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP FORUM ORGANISED BY
THE MEXICAN BUSINESS COUNCIL FOR FOREIGN TRADE, INVESTMENT
AND TECHNOLOGY (COMCE)
On 29 June 2016, H.E. Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan participated as one of the panellists in a forum entitled `Mexico and the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement` organised by COMCE at Banamex Convention Centre, Mexico City. The Ambassadors from Australia, Japan and Vietnam as well as New Zealand`s Charge d`affaires also participated in the forum.
The aim of the forum was to share trends, perspectives, tools, and other types of information with executives of Mexican companies related to business opportunities and bilateral investment issues, as well as projects of relevance in terms of Foreign Trade, under the framework of the TPP.
The Malaysian Ambassador made a presentation on Malaysia`s perspective of TPP as well as trade and investment opportunities and the way forward between Malaysia-Mexico. The forum was attended by close to 80 Mexican captains of industry.
