UNIVERSITY TALK AT UNIVERSIDAD DE LAS AMERICAS A.C., MEXICO CITY On 22 March, as part of the public outreach program H.E. Ambassador Mohammad Azhar Mazlan delivered a talk on “Malaysia – Mexico Bilateral Relations and Trans Pacific Partnership - its way forward” at the Universidad de las Americas A.C. Mexico City. With a quorum of 65 International Studies students, Mtro. Gerardo Jaramillo Vázquez, Dean of the Faculty of Business and International Relations moderated the talk by emphasizing the importance of such talks, especially from the foreign Ambassadors considering the current issues of International Relations, as well as the current status of TPP for Mexico. The interest of the students in the Q&A session was: the strength of the relations between Malaysia-Mexico; image of Mexico through the media and the media impact in Malaysia; employment and the importance of education for Malaysia as well as the key differences between TPP and other regional mechanism. At the end of the talk, students personally met and greeted the Ambassador as well as seized the opportunity to discuss further with him important subject matters.
