Vietnam’s National Day Reception and 50 Years of Vietnam–Mexico Diplomatic Relations

On 22 May 2025, H.E. Jamal Sharifuddin Johan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico, accompanied by his spouse Madam Aida Mastura Ahmad Nadzri, had the honour of attending the National Day Reception of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, hosted by the Embassy of Vietnam in Mexico City.
This year’s celebration was especially significant as it also marked the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Vietnam and Mexico (1975–2025) — a remarkable milestone in friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect. The event brought together members of the diplomatic corps, government officials, and invited guests in a vibrant evening of cultural appreciation and solidarity.
As fellow ASEAN Member States, Malaysia and Vietnam continue to enjoy close and cooperative ties, working together in the spirit of regional unity and shared prosperity. The reception provided a wonderful platform for strengthening people-to-people connections and reaffirming ASEAN solidarity in Mexico.
The Embassy of Malaysia extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of their National Day and the golden jubilee of Vietnam–Mexico relations.
