VISIT BY THE COMMITTEE ON THE EXERCISE OF THE INALIENABLE RIGHTS OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE
On 8 February, H.E. Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico joined the other OIC Ambassadors based in Mexico City for a breakfast meeting hosted by the Ambassador of Palestine to Mexico in honor of the visiting delegation from New York. The delegation comprised H.E. Ambassador Maria Rubiales de Chamorro, Vice President of the United Nations Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People and H.E. Dr. Riyad Mansour, Ambassador/ Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the United Nations as well as the United Nations staff of the committee.
A day earlier, the two visiting ambassadors delivered a talk at the diplomatic Institute of Matias Romero entitled “Promoting a Fair & Lasting Peace in the Middle East and Preserving the Solution of the Two States: The Role of the UN Committee for the Exercise on the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People. The delegation also met the Senate of Mexico and senior officials of the Ministry of External Relations of Mexico.
