VISIT TO SuKarne - NO. 1 BEEF COMPANY IN MEXICO
On 17 August 2016, the Ambassador of Malaysia, Ambassador of Pakistan and Charge d`Affaires a.i of Egypt visited la Planta Monarca SuKarne Processing Plant – the state-of-the-art abattoir owned by Mexican largest beef company SuKarne in the state of Michoacán, Mexico.
The visit was at the invitation of SAGARPA - Mexico Ministry of Agriculture, Livestocks, Rural Development, Fishery and Food to showcase the 1st ever halal beef processing plant in Mexico. Mexico is currently the 6th global producer of beef. SuKarne is exporting its halal certified beef to the US and Egypt with expansion plan for Middle East and other Muslim countries.
