H.E. Ambassador Jamal Sharifuddin Johan visited the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Mexico City to sign the book of condolence, expressing the deepest sympathies of the Government and people of Malaysia on the tragic incident that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo on 8 April 2025.
The heartbreaking collapse, which took place during a live performance by renowned merengue musician Rubby Pérez, claimed 231 lives, left over 200 injured, and marked one of the deadliest non-natural disasters in the history of the Dominican Republic.
Malaysia stands in solidarity with the Government and people of the Dominican Republic during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, the injured, and their grieving families.
