On 13 October 2020, TYT Ambassador Muzafar Shah Mustafa participated in the webinar Business Opportunities between Mexico and Malaysia within the framework of CPTPP. Also participated in the event, amongst others, was Dr. Luz María de la Mora, Undersecretary of Foreign Trade in the Ministry of Economy of Mexico, His Excellency Ambassador Carlos Isauro Félix Corona, Ambassador of Mexico to Malaysia, His Excellency Ambassador Sergio Ley, Vice chairman of Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (COMCE) and Chairman, Asia Pacific Business Section (COMCE) and Mr. Khaifil Elmi Jamil, Trade Commissioner MATRADE Mexico City.
The focus of the webinar was to present to both Malaysian and Mexican business players in order to explore business and investment opportunities in both countries, as well as the opportunities within the framework of the CPTPP. In his remarks, TYT Ambassador mentioned on the positive bilateral trades between Malaysia and Mexico. TYT Ambassador further noted on the many opportunities that both countries could explore in enhancing the partnership between Malaysia and Mexico.
During the webinar, a Malaysian-based company (DXN Mexico) shared their experience in setting up a business in Mexico. A Mexican-based company in Malaysia (Avalon Fresh) also shared their experience in setting up a business in Malaysia. Overall, there were about 60 participants from Malaysia and Mexico who participated in the webinar.
