XXIV CONGRESS OF FOREIGN MEXICAN TRADE (COMCE)

H.E. Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico attended the XXIV Congress of COMCE in Oaxaca from 6 to 8 September 2017.  The XXIV COMCE Congress was officiated by H.E. Enrique Pena Nieto, President of Mexico in the presence of more than 1,500 invitees comprising government dignitaries, diplomatic corps based in Mexico, captains of industry, members of the media, federal and state officials as well as special invited guests.  Present as the host was the Hon. Alejandro Murat Hinojosa, Governor of the State of Oaxaca as well as Lic Valentin Diez Morodo, President of COMCE.

 

With the theme `Mexico Against the Challenge of Diversify its Foreign Trade`, several expert panellists deliberated on subject  matters ranging from `Opportunities and Threats of Digital Trade and Cybersecurity`, `Modernisation of the EU Agreement Updates with African Markets`, `Latin America as a Natural Market for the Diversification of Trade`, `Growth with the Asian Economy as Strategic Base for the Diversification of Mexican Products` and `Repositioning to the Mexico-United States-Canada Relations.

 

Former ambassador of Mexico to Malaysia, H.E. Jorge Alberto Lozoya was one of the panellists who spoke about his invaluable experiences in Malaysia where he emphasized the need of Mexican business people to look at Asian and South East Asian region as one dynamic economy with ample of opportunities for Mexican business sector.
