IMPLEMENTATION OF THE USE OF THE MALAYSIA DIGITAL ARRIVAL CARD (MDAC)

Beginning 1 January 2024 all foreign citizens travelling to Malaysia are required to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) three (3) days prior to arrival, except:

i. Citizens of Singapore;

ii. Diplomatic and Official Passport holders;

iii. Malaysian Permanent Residents and Long Term-Pass holders;

iv. General Certificate of Identity (GCI) Brunei Darussalam holders;

v. Brunei Malaysia Frequent Traveller Facility holders; vi. Thailand Border Pass holders; and

vii. Indonesia Cross-Border Travel Document (PLB) holders.

TRAVEL ADVISORY

Malaysian citizens should always take safety measures while travelling abroad. Most importantly, be alert and fully aware of all items in baggage. There are a number of international criminal syndicates who are targeting Malaysians to be involved in their criminal activities.

Malaysians who are planning to stay for more than 3 months in the Republic of Namibia, the Republic of Angola, the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are required to register with the High Commission. (Please refer to the Registration of Malaysians column in this website).

YELLOW FEVER REQUIREMENTS

Due to the recent Yellow Fever outbreak in some part of southern African countries and other part of the world, the High Commission is strongly advice all Malaysians who wish to travel to the Republic of Angola, the Republic Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to take precautions and get vaccinated prior to their travels.

For Malaysians who are travelling from countries with risk of Yellow Fever transmission, they are required to get vaccinated prior entering the Republic of Namibia.
