On Monday, 4 November 2024, Ambassador Dato’ Azhar Mazlan attended the inaugural session of the 28th Annual Conference of International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centre (IAPTC). The conference was held at the Centre for International Peace and Stability (CIPS), National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Others present were President of IAPTC, Under Secretary General Department of Peace Operations, Jean Pierre Lacroix, United Nation's Police Advisor, Acting Deputy Military Advisor, Foreign Secretary of Pakistan and Rector NUST. One hundred fifty (150) participants from 57 countries took park in the conference, including a 4-member delegation from Malaysia led by Major General Razak Bin Sulaiman, Assistant Chief of Staff and Defence Operation & Training, Malaysian Army.
