On 4 May 2017, His Excellency Dato’ Dr. Hasrul Sani bin Mujtabar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan hosted a Reception at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Malaysia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. His Excellency Mr. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was the Chief Guest. Malaysian Cultural Troupe and Malaysian Chef too participated in the event. Others who attended the event were Malaysian companies based in Pakistan, Diplomatic community, Pakistani community, officials from Govt. of Pakistan and the Malaysian community.
In his speech, His Excellency the High Commissioner highlighted the close relations between the two brotherly Islamic countries and hoped that mutual relations between the two countries will grow further. On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources thanked His Excellency the High Commissioner to organize such a wonderful function and said that Malaysia and Pakistan will work closely to promote relations, including, energy sector.
