On Wednesday, 13 November 2023, Ambassador Dato' Azhar attended the 6th Global Awards Ceremony 2024 at Islamabad Serena Hotel, organised by Diplomatic Insight Group (DIG).
Mr. Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Other present on the occasion, were Ambassadors, diplomatic corps, Parliamentarians, government officials, business leaders, academics, media, and civil society members.
Ethiopian Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker was honoured with the prestigious Global Ambassador Award 2024 in recognition of his outstanding efforts in strengthening diplomatic, trade, and cultural ties between Ethiopia and Pakistan. The Diplomatic Insight, a global public diplomacy institution in Pakistan, also awarded the Ambassador with the 6th Global Ambassador Award for his contributions in bringing the two nations closer together at bilateral, regional, and multilateral forums.
