On Thursday, 12 March 2026, Kelab STMI undertook a visit to Madrasah Ashraf-Ul-Uloom, Islamabad. The visit was led by Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan and accompanied by the President of Kelab STMI as well as other officers of the High Commission.
Upon arrival, Ambassador Dato’ Azhar was received by Moulana Abdul Ghuffar Abbasi, Principal of Madrasah and the staff. During the meeting, Moulana Abdul Ghuffar Abbasi briefed the High Commissioner about the Madrasah and other activities being held in Madrasah. Madrasah Ashraf-Ul-Uloom was established in 1925. Thousands of students have completed their religious studies from this Madrasah and are also performing their duties in different madrasahs/mosques in Islamabad and other cities.
During the visit, Ambassador Dato’ Azhar also took the opportunity to deliver zakat fitrah to the management of the Madrasah.
