On Monday, 11 November 2024, Ambassador Dato' Azhar attended the agreement signing ceremony for the new Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA), with the participation of all Home-Based Staff of the High Commission.
The introduction of the SSPA, which will replace the Malaysian Remuneration System (SSM) effective 1 December 2024, was announced by YAB Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during the 19th edition of the Majlis Amanat Perdana Perkhidmatan Awam (MPPA XIX) on 16 August 2024. This new scheme is designed not only to introduce reforms and increase the disposable income of civil servants but also to serve as a performance-based remuneration system.
On this occasion, Ambassador Dato' Azhar congratulated all HBS on the agreement and expressed hope that everyone will continue to serve the Government of Malaysia with even greater dedication.
