AN ALP TRIP TO MURREE, NORTH-EASTERN PART OF THE GREATER ISLAMABAD BY THE FAMILIES OF THE HIGH COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA On 7 January 2009, a few groups of families of the HIGH COMMISSION OF MALAYSIA and agencies in Islamabad headed to Murree, north-eastern part of the greater Islamabad, about 53 kilometers away, to experience the snowfall and scenic beauty of the place. Awesomely true, our Pakistani friends have described this alphine Murree as the ?Heavens on Earth.
It was a one day trip from dawn till dusk. Being well equipped with winter clothings, the families brought along some Malaysian food and ?kueh? and, of course, the ?camera.? The bus journey took them slightly move than one hour and they could see that the white snow had covered almost every object on the ground from houses, shops, vehicles and also the roads. It was indeed so beautiful and that to some of them, this was a first-time experience. The children were exhilarated while the ladies were busy looking for the best spot, where they can snap pictures with their spouses and families, as though the pictures were taken in Switzerland; but it was truly the beautiful Pakistan!

Fun with the snow! It?s the beautiful Pakistan!
In concluding, HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR AHMAD SHAHIZAN ABD SAMAD was excited with the group?s initiative to venture out to Murree, the most popular resort and destination for tourists in Pakistan, especially for the people of the city of Islamabad.
