ASEAN COMMUNITY IN ISLAMABAD CELEBRATES THE WATER FUNCTION
AT THE EMBASSY OF THE UNION OF MYANMAR
ON 15 APRIL 2009
On Wednesday 15 April 2009, a Water Festival Function organized by the Embassy of the Union of Myanmar at their premises with participation from all ASEAN Missions, their families and some of Pakistani community. All the Home-Based Staff of the High Commission of Malaysia and their families participated in this event.
The purpose of this event is to celebrate their big festival together with the ASEAN community in Islamabad and sharing the experiences of the Myanmar culture, cuisines, dance and, of course, a Karaoke-singing session. The event was followed by luncheon which includes some Myanmar cuisines.

In conclusion, it was truly a remakable "water" event that depicted the spirit, camaraderie and strength of the ASEAN Community in Islamabad.
