On Friday, 2 August 2024, Ambassador Dato' Azhar attended a briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad. His Excellency Ambassador Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi, Foreign Secretary briefed the Islamabad-based diplomatic missions on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He elaborated on the legal, security and human rights dimensions of the issue.
The Foreign Secretary underscored the grave consequences of India’s actions of 5 August 2019 from the perspective of international law, human rights, and peace and security.
