On Thursday, 27 June 2024, YBhg. To’ Puan Amelia Amani Lee Abdullah, President of PERWAKILAN Ladies Association in Islamabad, organized a Brunch Get-Together at Rumah Malaysia for the spouses of the Heads of Mission in Islamabad.
The brunch was attended by spouses from various foreign missions, including Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belgium, Denmark, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Palestine, Syria, Turkiye, and Ukraine. During the program, the spouses exchanged their experiences in postings abroad as well as shared knowledge about Pakistan and their own countries.
The occasion not only provided an avenue to catch up and discuss matters in a casual setting but also to bid farewell to the spouses from Belgium and Turkiye, highlighting the bonds and transitions within the diplomatic community. Malaysian cuisine took center stage with a spread that included aromatic dishes such as Chapati, Chicken Curry, Nasi Lemak, Rendang, and Seri Muka, which were savored by all invited guests. The President of PERWAKILAN also introduced Malaysian arts and culture through paintings and weaving arts.
The brunch was a showcase of Malaysian hospitality within the women’s diplomatic circle in Islamabad, presenting the guests with cherished memories and warm interactions.
