On Wednesday, 19 March 2025, Kelab STMI in collaboration with PERWAKILAN Islamabad held a “Bubur Lambuk” programme in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan. The programme aimed to celebrate the spirit of togetherness among Home-Based Staff (HBS) and Locally Recruited Staff (LRS), apart from observing the true spirit of giving during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Bubur lambuk is a savory rice porridge that is often prepared and shared during the holy month of Ramadan. This program aimed not only to showcase the rich culinary heritage of Malaysia but also to strengthen the bonds among the staff of the Malaysian High Commission.
At the end of programme, His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan distributed the specially prepared bubur lambuk to the HBS and LRS, as well as to members of the diplomatic corps in the diplomatic enclave. This act of sharing food was a symbolic gesture of goodwill and camaraderie, reflecting the core values of unity, hospitality, and cultural exchange.
