On Friday, 2 February 2024, the Club STMI organised a New Year gathering with the Yassin Recitation, the farewell reception of Mr. Nor Hazwan Bin Mohd Hisham, as well as the welcoming reception for Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus Bin Hasbullah and Mr. Muhammad Zulasri Bin Rosdi at the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad. A birthday celebration for the staff members of the High Commission was also held.
In his remarks, Ambassador Azhar thanked the STMI Club for organizing the event. He urged everyone to work as a team with one main objective: to raise Malaysia's image and profile in Pakistan. He emphasized harmony and unity among the staff to attain a better working environment.
Ambassador Azhar conveyed his heartiest congratulations to Mr. Nor Hazwan Bin Mohd Hisham on the successful completion of his tenure in Pakistan. He appreciated his invaluable work and support, which directly contributed to the High Commission success, and extended his best wishes for his future undertakings. He also welcomed Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus Bin Hasbullah and Mr. Mohammad Zulasri Bin Rosdi as the newest additions to the High Commission.
The event was subsequently followed by a potluck luncheon, a tradition upheld by all members of the High Commission, fostering a testament to camaraderie and the collective spirit of kindness among HBS and LRS through sharing of cuisine.
