On Tuesday, 24 June 2025, His Excellency Ambassador Dato' Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, received a courtesy call from a delegation of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) led by Senior Vice President Mr. Abdul Rahman Siddiqui.
The delegation briefed the High Commissioner on the status of preparations for the Business Opportunity Conference (BOC), scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur on 14 August 2025. The meeting also discussed proposed arrangements and deliverables, including engagements with key Malaysian leaders and visits to selected industrial zones and states.
According to ICCI, the BOC will involve over 100 Pakistani businessmen from various industries, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between Pakistan and Malaysia. The event will feature B2B meetings and business matchmaking sessions with Malaysian companies. The last BOC was held in 2019 at the Marriott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The High Commissioner assured that the High Commission will support and assist wherever possible, and conveyed his best wishes to ICCI for the successful organisation of the upcoming BOC.
