On 31 July 2025, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, received a courtesy call from the newly arrived Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Indonesia, Lieutenant General (Ret.) H.E. Chandra Warsenanto Sukotjo, at the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on the longstanding and close bilateral relations between Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as matters of mutual interest within the ASEAN framework and in the context of both countries’ engagement with Pakistan.
Following the courtesy call, Ambassador Dato’ Azhar graciously hosted a luncheon in honour of Ambassador-Designate H.E. Chandra Sukotjo, to welcome him to Islamabad and to reaffirm Malaysia’s commitment to continued collaboration with Indonesia in promoting regional solidarity and cooperation.
