On Wednesday, 1 March 2023 Ambassador Azhar paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, Spokesperson/Additional Secretary, Asia Pacific, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan at the latter's Office. Apart from fostering closer relations in all spheres, during the call, Ambassador Azhar expressed his desire to further enhance trade and investment cooperation between the two brotherly countries. As a way forward, Ambassador Azhar envisaged a closer collaboration in the field of digital economy, halal food industry, food security, agriculture, education and tourism industry, among others.
Ambassador Azhar shared about his visit to Karachi from 10 to 12 February 2023, and participation in Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference and AMAN Exercise - 2023, followed by a visit to Lahore from 14 to 15 February 2023, respectively to the launching of Malaysian Beauty product by Bliss Beauty City at Emporium Mall, Lahore.
The courtesy call was held in a friendly manner befitting the status of Strategic Partner between Malaysia and Pakistan, with both Ambassadors sharing their past experiences and citing common fellow diplomatic colleagues.
