On 6 May 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Siti Hafsyah Idris, Director of the Centre of Industry, Community, and Alumni Network (ICAN), paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan at the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad. Dr. Siti Hafsyah Idris was accompanied by Mr. Adi Irfan from the Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH).
During the meeting, Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan was briefed on the scope of work, initiatives, and programmes undertaken by ICAN, particularly in fostering industry engagement, community development, academic collaboration, and alumni networking.
Both parties also exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration and future cooperation between the High Commission of Malaysia and ICAN. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships in the fields of science and technology, capacity building, research collaboration, and the exchange of expertise between relevant institutions and stakeholders.
The meeting reflects a shared commitment to enhancing bilateral engagement and promoting greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in advancing scientific and technological development and knowledge sharing.
