On Friday, 19 January 2024, Ambassador Azhar received a courtesy call by Mr. Sardar Waqar Shahzad, National Commissioner Pakistan Boy Scouts Association at the Malaysian High Commission. During the meeting, Mr. Sardar Waqar invited Ambassador Azhar to visit Swat. He mentioned about historical relations between the two countries. He emphasized increasing trade volume and diversifying trade between the two countries focusing on the remote northern areas like Swat.
In response, Ambassador Azhar assured that he would work on his proposals and will visit Swat on an appropriate time. The ambassador also invited Mr. Sardar Waqar to visit Malaysia and explore opportunities to invest in the hospitality industry in Malaysia.
