On Wednesday, 17 January 2024, Ambassador Azhar received a courtesy call by Dr. Khurram Tariq, President of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at the Malaysian High Commission. During the meeting, among others, they discussed various areas of collaboration, including economic partnerships, cultural exchanges, trade promotion, tourism, and people-to-people interactions. They also exchanged ideas on how to strengthen existing ties and identify new opportunities for cooperation, leveraging the respective strengths and resources of each country. Ambassador Azhar took the opportunity to encourage Dr. Tariq and members of his chamber to invest in Malaysia.
