On Friday, 6 October 2023, Ambassador Azhar received a courtesy call by Mr. Zainal Abidin Bin Shaik Zakaria, Yayasan Taqwa, Malaysia and Mr. Ahmad Fahmi Bin Mohd Samsudin, Global Peace Mission (GPM), Malaysia along with their team, at the High Commission of Malaysia.
The purpose of the meeting was to provide a comprehensive briefing on the current projects being undertaken by Yayasan Taqwa and Global Peace Mission, Malaysia in Pakistan. The delegation visited Quetta, Balochistan Province from 4 to 5 October 2023. During the visit, they visited the ongoing projects of 7 schools and supplied food to the needy people in the surrounding area.
During the meeting, the delegation informed Ambassador Azhar that Global Peace Mission Malaysia undertook a humanitarian mission together with Yayasan Taqwa in Balochistan region following the 2022 major floods. The mission was to assist the affected victims, where among the aid provided was the repair of 7 schools as well as essential food and non-food items to the affected people.
