On Monday, 28 October 2024, Ambassador Dato' Azhar received a courtesy call by Ustaz Muhammad Syukri Shaharoni, former student of Madrassa Arabia Raiwind Lahore and Mr. Mohamad Nasir B. Kasim from Masjid Lama Sg. Gulang, Tanjung Karang, Selangor, Malaysia at the High Commission. The purpose of the meeting was to inform the Ambassador about Tabligh Ijtema (Gathering) as well as to extend an invitation to him to attend the religious gathering at Raiwind, Lahore scheduled from 1 to 3 November 2024.
During the meeting, Ustaz Muhammad Syukri apprised the Ambassador that a group of around 100 tabligh people from Malaysia would be participating in the religious gathering. He also shared that groups from other countries, namely Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and other countries would also be taking part. He further informed the Ambassador that the gathering was for all Muslims aimed at uniting Muslims as one Ummah and to reinforce their faith in Allah SWT.
In his response, the Ambassador congratulated both individuals for their participation in the noble gathering and expressed his intention to participate in the event. The meeting was held in a cordial manner.
