COURTESY CALL ON HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR DATO' AZHAR MAZLAN BY THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF LIFT WELFARE FOUNDATION

On Wednesday, 6 November 2024, Ambassador Dato' Azhar received a courtesy call from a six-member delegation led by Ms. Asma Muzaffar Malik, Chief Executive Officer of the Lift Welfare Foundation Islamabad, at the High Commission. Also present were Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus bin Hasbullah, Counsellor, and Mr. Muhammad Zulasri bin Rosdi, First Secretary of the High Commission.

 

Ms. Asma provided an overview of the Lift Welfare Foundation’s initiatives, emphasizing its focus on promoting education and awareness as tools for societal development. She highlighted the foundation’s work to address the needs of out-of-school children in Pakistan, who constitute a population of more than 20 million, representing 40% of the country’s children. The foundation's programs aim to extend educational resources and opportunities to this segment of the population.

 

Ambassador Dato' Azhar acknowledged the significance of the foundation's efforts in addressing educational access and affirmed the High Commission's willingness to support initiatives that further this cause. He also expressed the High Commission’s commitment to facilitating connections between the foundation and relevant Malaysian NGOs working towards similar goals, fostering potential collaboration for greater impact in the education sector.
