On Wednesday, 8 January 2025, His Excellency Ambassador Dato' Azhar Mazlan received a courtesy call from a three-member delegation led by Mr. Mohd Shukree Bin Shahabudin, outgoing Station General Manager of TNB REMACO, at the High Commission of Malaysia. The courtesy call was arranged to introduce the new Station General Manager of TNB REMACO in Pakistan, Mr. Hafiz Isahak, who is succeeding Mr. Shukree Bin Shahabudin following his retirement.
The meeting served as an opportunity for TNB REMACO to update the High Commissioner on the current status of their ongoing projects in Pakistan, discuss challenges and issues faced in the local energy sector, and highlight their continued commitment to supporting Pakistan’s power industry. The delegation also provided a briefing on the 4th International Hydropower Conference 2025, scheduled for the following day, and extended an invitation to His Excellency to participate in the event.
His Excellency Dato' Azhar Mazlan expressed his appreciation to Mr. Shukree for his contributions during his tenure and congratulated Mr. Hafiz Isahak on his new role. He reaffirmed the High Commission’s support for TNB REMACO’s initiatives in Pakistan and acknowledged the importance of such collaborations in strengthening Malaysia-Pakistan relations.
