On Thursday, 16 May 2024, Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Charge d’Affaires a.i., received a courtesy call from Prof. Dr. Hamedi Mohd Adnan, Professor of Department of Media and Communication Studies Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences University of Malaya, Malaysia and his team at the Malaysian High Commission. Prof. Dr. Hamedi was accompanied by Dr. Farrukh Shahzad, Head of Department of Media Studies, Bahria University Islamabad and Dr. Mohsin Hassan Khan.
The purpose of the meeting was to establish connections with the High Commission to explore cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries in the field of education. Discussions covered a range of potential initiatives, including setting up twinning programs between Malaysian and Pakistani universities, increasing the exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students, addressing accreditation issues, and exploring scholarship opportunities.
Additionally, the meeting explored the potential for joint research collaborations, faculty exchange programs, and the organization of workshops and seminars on mutual interests. By addressing these topics, the meeting aimed to create a foundation for a robust educational partnership that benefits both Malaysia and Pakistan.
