On Friday, 2 August 2024, Mr. Syafik, Counsellor of the High Commission received a courtesy call by Mr. Sardar Waqar Shahzad, National Commissioner Pakistan Boy Scouts Association at the High Commission of Malaysia. Mr. Muhammad Zulasri Bin Rosdi, First Secretary of the High Commission was also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, Mr. Sardar Waqar extended invitation to the High Commission to visit Swat. He mentioned about historical relations between the two countries. He emphasized on increasing trade volume and diversifying trade between the two countries, especially focusing Swat, as a good number of Malaysian community is based in that area.
In response, Mr. Syafik appreciated his initiative and expressed his desire to visit Swat in near future. Mr. Syafik also invited Mr. Sardar Waqar to visit Malaysia and to look for investment opportunities in tourism sector of Malaysia.
