In an effort to promote greater ties between Malaysia and Pakistan, including, between Parliamentarians of both countries, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Hasrul Sani Mujtabar, called on Hon. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, at the Parliament House on 4 September, 2013. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Aiyub Omar, Councellor.
Among others, both sides explored the possibility of establishing the Malaysia-Pakistan Parliamentarian Association in the near future. Hon. Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also expressed his interest to visit Malaysia in January 2014 in conjunction with his visit to New Zealand.
