A 22-member Malaysian delegation headed by Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Syed Jalauddin Bin Syed Salim, Halal Industry Development Corporation, Malaysia visited Islamabad and Lahore, Pakistan from 01 - 07 October 2016. The delegation comprised of various sectors, including academician and entrepreneurs. The said visit was organized by Justice (R) Khalil ur Rehman, Chairman, Punjab Halal Development Agency. During their stay in Islamabad, Malaysian delegation met with Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Mayor of Islamabad and discussed matters of mutual interests.
While their stay in Lahore, the Malaysian delegation held meeting with H.E. Rana Mashood Ahmad, Provincial Minister of Education of Punjab Province and Provincial Health Minister of Punjab, Khawaja Ahmad Hassan. The meetings were held in cordial manner and members of both countries discussed about ways and means to enhance trade in Halal food, as well as, on education.
