On Thursday, 29 June 2023, the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad celebrated Eid-ul-Adha at the Residential Complex of the High Commission. The event was hosted by Ambassador Azhar and Madam Amelia Azhar with the presence of the Home-Based Staff (HBS), along with their family members, as well as the Malaysian and Muslim communities residing in Islamabad.
The event commenced with the 'Solat Eid-ul-Adha' prayer, followed by slaughtering of three cows and a goat. The guests were then treated to a delightful variety of Raya dishes, prepared by PERWAKILAN Islamabad. At the end of the event, Ambassador Azhar together with HBS distributed over 200 packs of Qurban meat to security personnel in the Diplomatic Enclave and to those in need in Bari Imam.
