On Friday, 22 September 2023, His Excellency Ambassador Azhar and his spouse, Madam Amelia hosted a hi-tea in honour of members of Majlis Seni Sarawak and Chef Rizal Bin Masir at Asian Wok Restaurant, Islamabad. Present on this occasion were the Home-based Staff (HBS) of the High Commission and family members as well as Malaysian diaspora in Islamabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Azhar thanked the cultural troupe for their skilful performance and for having flown from Kuching, capital of State of Sarawak to Islamabad. He also extended his appreciation to Chef Rizal who travelled all the way to represent Malaysia in Flavours of Malaysia Food Festival held at Islamabad Serena Hotel from 15 to 21 September 2023.
