ENHANCING MALAYSIA-PAKISTAN MILITARY TIES

The visit of General Khalid Shameem Waynne, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan to Malaysia from 27 – 31 January, 2013, is an effort to enhance further the existing close military ties between Malaysia and Pakistan. The General is accompanied by his wife and several senior military officials.

H.E. Dr. Hasrul Sani Mujtabar, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan held a courtesy call on the General on 23 January, 2013.  All relevant programmes, including, call on the Malaysian Minister of Defence, visit to National Defence University, Staff College, SAPURA and sight-seeing in Kuala Lumpur had been arranged.

The General thanked the Malaysian side for the hospitality and reiterated Pakistan’s strong ties with Malaysia, including, in defence.
