On Monday, 6 May 2024, Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus, Charge d’Affaires a.i., attended a farewell lunch at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The event was hosted by His Excellency Mr. Atadjan Movlamov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, in honor of Her Excellency Ms. M Nyambura Kamau, High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya, and His Excellency Mr. Chakkrid Krachaiwong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, marking the completion of their diplomatic assignments in Islamabad. Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and members of the Diplomatic Corps were present at the event.
The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps highlighted the positive impact of their efforts on enhancing bilateral relations between their respective countries and Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration and mutual understanding.
In their farewell remarks, Her Excellency Ms. M Nyambura Kamau and His Excellency Mr. Chakkrid Krachaiwong reflected on the significant milestones achieved in bilateral relations during their time in Islamabad. They underscored the shared interests and areas of cooperation between Kenya, Thailand, and Pakistan, expressing optimism for further strengthening these ties in the future.
