On Thursday, 12 October 2023, Ambassador Azhar attended a one-day investment roadshow under the theme of “Sustainable Prosperity” to promote the region’s immense investment potential in a diverse range of sectors, including hospitality, tourism, agriculture, IT, hydropower generation, and minerals. The event was organized by the Provincial Government of Gilgit-Baltistan at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. During the roadshow, relevant GB departments shared concrete investment-ready proposals.
Present during the Road Show were high officials from GB namely, Mr. Gulbar Khan, Chief Minister, Mr. Syed Mehdi Shah, Governor, Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani, Chief Secretary and other senior officials, diplomatic corps and a number of foreign and local investors as well as other stakeholders.
