On 29 January 2026, His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan attended a dinner meeting with Senator Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, Former Caretaker Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at his residence in Islamabad. The dinner was also attended by other ASEAN Heads of Mission.
The dinner provided an opportunity for a cordial exchange of views on regional and global developments, as well as matters of mutual interest between Pakistan and ASEAN member countries. During the meeting, Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan took the opportunity to reaffirm Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Pakistan and enhancing ASEAN-Pakistan cooperation across various sectors. The engagement reflected the shared aspiration to deepen understanding and foster constructive partnerships for mutual benefit.
