On 4 March 2026, His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, signed the Book of Condolence at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad following the passing of Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Ambassador Azhar conveyed Malaysia’s deepest condolences and sympathies to the Government and people of Iran during this solemn moment of national mourning.
He acknowledged the significant role played by the late Supreme Leader in shaping Iran’s political direction and regional posture over several decades.
In closing, he offered sincere prayers for peace and fortitude for the Government and people of Iran.
