On 25 September 2025 , His Excellency Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, Federal Minister for the Board of Investment.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in constructive discussions concerning the upcoming official visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Malaysia, scheduled for October 2025. The High Commissioner and the Minister exchanged views on the ongoing preparations for the visit and expressed confidence that the visit would further deepen bilateral relations between Malaysia and Pakistan.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore new avenues for enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to fostering stronger economic ties and agreed to continue facilitating dialogue between business communities in Malaysia and Pakistan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister extended an invitation to His Excellency Dato’ Azhar and his delegation to visit the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in Chiniot. The visit is intended to highlight Pakistan’s advancements in technology and education and to explore potential collaboration in the field of higher education and research.
The courtesy call reflects the mutual commitment of Malaysia and Pakistan to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, particularly in investment, trade, and education.
