On 30 April 2026, H.E Amb. Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, participated as Chief Guest in a tourism engagement session organised by Super Crown International Travels in Lahore, in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.
The session, themed “Malaysia’s Expertise in Unlocking Tourism Opportunities,” brought together key travel agents, tourism stakeholders and industry players to explore avenues for strengthening tourism flows between Malaysia and Pakistan. The programme served as an important platform to showcase Malaysia’s diverse tourism offerings, ranging from eco-tourism and cultural heritage to modern city experiences and gastronomy.
In his remarks, the High Commissioner highlighted Malaysia’s readiness to Pakistani tourists under the VM2026 initiative, emphasising the country’s world-class infrastructure, Muslim-friendly tourism ecosystem, and strong connectivity. He also underscored the importance of strategic collaboration with travel agents as frontline partners in promoting Malaysia as a preferred destination.
The engagement further discussed practical measures to enhance tourism cooperation, including tailored travel packages, joint promotional campaigns, and closer business-to-business linkages between Malaysian tourism stakeholders and Pakistani travel agencies.
The High Commissioner also shared insights into Malaysia’s broader tourism strategy under VM2026, which aims to significantly increase international arrivals while ensuring sustainable and high-quality tourism experiences.
The event concluded with networking sessions that enabled direct engagement between participants, reinforcing mutual interest in expanding tourism exchanges and strengthening people-to-people ties between Malaysia and Pakistan.
This initiative reflects the High Commission’s continued efforts to actively promote Malaysia in Pakistan and to leverage partnerships with local industry players in support of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
