During the meeting, HIS EXCELLENCY TAN SRI RASTAM MOHD ISA underlined the close bilateral ties between Malaysia and Pakistan and said that they were moving in the right direction. HIS EXCELLENCY TAN SRI RASTAM MOHD ISA also mentioned that areas of mutual cooperation could be tourism, energy, aviation, Halal food industry, telecommunication, education, human resource development and Islamic finance. He hoped that the Free Trade Agreement signed between the two countries would help forge substantive economic partnership. The Malaysian Secretary General further noted that Pakistan's cooperation with ASEAN is growing fast.
